People I invite, or anyone with the link: who can read the page
People I invite means only the people on the page. One switch under that lets anyone with the link read the page — read, not add — and the link can't be guessed.
A QR code for the page: a card, a frame, a plaque
Under the page's ⋯ menu, QR code for the page draws a code that opens the page for anyone who scans it — read, not add. It carries no name and no address, works only while Anyone with the link can read it is on, and a manager can stop it at any time.
Keeping a memory for the people on the page only
A memory can be restricted to the page's members, never promoted beyond the page. The author or a manager sets it.
Reviewing who can see each memory before a page opens up
When you widen a page's privacy, you see the memories first and choose which stay for members only.
"Who will see this": the line above every memory you write
Before you write, the composer names who will see it — the visitors, and the people on the page by name.
Your contributions when a page opens up
If a page you joined is opened to anyone with the link, or made public, one switch keeps everything you added for the page's people only — and only you can change it.

We can't open a page that isn't public unless you let us in — for seven days, from Settings. Every time we do is recorded.
Why there are no likes, comments or followers
A Life Page is a living biography, not a feed. Responses are names, never numbers; contributions wait for the family; nothing is ranked.
Bookmarking a page
Your private way back to a page you don't belong to. No one is told, nothing is counted.
Places and the map: towns, never addresses
A memory's place is a town, a neighbourhood or a named public place — never a street address. Exact coordinates are removed from photos before they're stored.
