Keeping a memory for the people on the page only
A memory can be restricted to the page's members, never promoted beyond the page. The author or a manager sets it.
Some memories belong to the people who were there — the hospital weeks, a family quarrel made up — and not to everyone who has the page's address. Each memory has one switch: Only the people on this page.
- The author can set it on their own memory; a manager can set it on any.
- It only ever restricts. A memory can't be made more public than the page it's on — the page is the thing you publish.
- It appears only once Anyone with the link can read it is on (or the page is public); before that, everyone who can see the page is already on it.
A restricted memory can't be shared by link, and it stays out of the exported book for anyone who isn't a member.
Your own contributions, everywhere
Separately, every contributor has a switch of their own under You on this page (the person icon in the row under the photo): Keep my contributions for people on the page. It hides everything you've added — memories, notes, photos, your name — from visitors, and only you can change it. See Your contributions when a page opens up.
