Why there are no likes, comments or followers
A Life Page is a living biography, not a feed. Responses are names, never numbers; contributions wait for the family; nothing is ranked.
A feed is about now and who. A Life Page is about them. Every rule here follows from that:
- Names, never counts. A heart says Loved by Maria and Sal, not 12 likes. On a public page it says Loved by the family.
- No comments under memories. People on the page add what they remember — signed notes, with their own photos. Visitors can leave a tribute, which the family reads first. See Tributes from visitors.
- No followers, no "recently added", no anniversaries surfacing. The bell only counts things waiting on you. See The bell.
- Nothing is ranked. Lives shared with everyone is alphabetical.
- Bookmarking is private. Nobody, not even the page's owner, knows you bookmarked a page or a memory.
