Memory or record? Why some things live under Settings
Memories are plural and personal — anyone on the page adds them. Records are singular facts — life events, occasions, people, the resting place — kept by the page's managers under Settings.
A Life Page holds two kinds of things.
Memory
Plural, personal, first-person: memories, notes, tributes, sayings, words, letters, names in photos. Every member adds these, right on the page, under their own name. There can be twenty memories of the same summer, and that is the point.
Record
Singular and factual: the chapters of their life, the occasions, the people in their life, the resting place. Managers keep these under Settings, so there is one true answer to when is the service and where do they rest. On the page these sections are read-only, with Manage → for managers.
Not everyone who was invited to share a memory should be able to put a visitation date on a Remembered page. If you're a contributor and a fact is wrong or missing, tell the person who looks after the page.
