Occasions: the times and places people need
Services, visitations, celebrations of life, anniversaries, reunions, birthdays — with the address and an add-to-calendar link. A record, kept by managers.
Under Settings → This page → Occasions, managers add the occasions people will want to know about, each with a date and time, a place and — unlike a memory — the exact address, deep-linked to a map, because this is where people need to go.
- On a remembered page: visitation, service, burial, celebration of life, reception; later, anniversaries and reunions.
- On a living person's page: birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, reunions — planned occasions, never live whereabouts.
- Each shows on the page with an add to calendar link; past occasions fold away.
Occasions are a record — one true answer — so contributors read them and tell a manager if something's wrong. A pet's page offers a celebration of life, a birthday, an anniversary, a milestone or an occasion.
