Letters for later: how sealing works
A member writes a letter to someone on the page and seals it. Nobody can read it on the page until it opens — not family, not trusted people, not the page's owner.
A letter for later is written now and read later: for your wedding day, when you turn fifty, for after I'm gone. From Add to the page → A letter, choose who it's for, when it opens, and write. You can add photos. Then Seal it.
While it's sealed
- Nobody can read it on the page — not family, not trusted people, not the page's owner. The people who look after the page see only that a letter is waiting, never its title or a key.
- You can still edit it or take it back, until it opens.
- Like everything here it's stored on our servers, so the people who run Beyond My Time could technically read it; we never will, and letters are never part of support.
Who it can be for
- One person in the page's Family & friends. If they haven't joined the page yet, the letter waits for them — invite them so it can reach them.
- The person this page is about, on a page about someone living. They can read it once the page is theirs.
- Everyone on the page.

Pet pages don't have letters.
