Sofia set it up. I was against it. Then Luca sent me a photo of his first apartment and I cried in the pharmacy. Now I text everyone. The children say I shout. I don't shout, the letters are just big so I can see them.

We told her it was a small dinner. Forty people hid in the garage. She walked in, looked at all of us, and said "there isn't enough food" — and then there was, somehow, because she'd made a lasagna "just in case" that morning. She'd known for a week. Teresa told her.
