What isn't allowed, in plain words
A Life Page holds real people who didn't ask to be here. No abuse or hate, nothing sexual, nothing illegal, no impersonation, no pages about living people who object.
The full text is in the Terms of Service. In plain words:
- No abuse or hate. Not about the person the page is about, not about anyone in the photos, not about each other.
- Nothing sexual. Anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the authorities, and we preserve rather than delete what's needed for that.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing that isn't yours to post — other people's copyrighted photos, for instance.
- No impersonation. Sign tributes how you like, but don't pretend to be someone you aren't.
- A living person can object to a page that claims to be about them. We make it private.
The people who look after a page hold the first line — every contribution from outside waits for them. We step in when they can't or won't, or when the manager is the problem: see Reporting. Ticking the box at sign-up is agreeing to this.
