For funeral homes, cemeteries and hospices
Register, get verified, start a page for a family or care for one they already have, keep the service details, hand it over. The family owns the page; you are its desk.
Beyond My Time is a place where a family remembers someone who has died. An organisation is one door some pages come through at the start. Nothing here changes what a page is for the family: once care ends, their page is like any other.
Registering
From your account menu, Organisations → Register: a web name (your page will be at beyondmytime.life/at/your-name), the organisation's name, what it is, town, website. We verify every organisation — a real business at a real address — before it can hold a page. Until then you can add your people and set up the starter.
Your people
Everyone you add is the desk on every page in your care: they read the page as a member does and keep the record. Nobody at the desk can approve, change or add a memory, name trusted people, delete a page or download it. Removing someone ends their reach into every page at once, and any page they started passes to the organisation's owner.
The starter
Under Starter, the links every page you start opens with — your notice page, your florist, where to give — and the town. The family can change or remove any of them.
Starting a page for a family
Start a page for a family: their name, dates, a person or a pet. The page opens private, in your care, with the starter in place. Fill in the service details under the page's Settings (the record; the family's doors stay shut to you), then invite the keeper — the family member you arranged with. The email says you gave us their address. Accepting makes them the page's manager at once; from then on approvals are theirs. Before you start, ask whether the family already has a page: if so, they link it with you instead, and there is one page, not two.
Caring for a page a family already has
A family asks you from your page, or from a link you give them (beyondmytime.life/at/your-name). Under Asks, accept. Your desk opens on the page; the family stays the owner and can end it with one button.
Ending care
Hand the page to the keeper once the service is done — your access ends, the page keeps a line saying you cared for it, and the service details you entered stay on your case card. The keeper can also take the page at any time; you can't refuse. A page with no keeper and nobody else's words on it may be deleted; one with anyone's memories on it may only be handed on or archived, never deleted.
Your page
Once verified and switched on (its own switch, apart from public pages), beyondmytime.life/at/your-name lists the pages the families chose to list there — the service details only, or the page — searchable by name within your page. You may ask a family to list a page; you can never flip the switch. Link to it from your own website; we keep it out of search engines.
Closing
Closing the organisation ends care on every page: pages with a keeper go to their family, the rest are archived. Nothing is deleted.
